From Cupcakes to Charcuterie: Seattle Food Photography at Slice of Heaven

One of the best parts of being a Seattle food photographer is working with small businesses that truly put their heart into what they create. My recent shoot with Slice of Heaven was exactly that — a full day of showcasing cakes, cupcakes, charcuterie boards, and even their less known offerings of breakfast items, garlic bread, and charcuterie!

As a Seattle area bakery photographer, I love capturing baked goods that are both beautiful and delicious. Slice of Heaven’s cakes and cupcakes are a dream to photograph — fluffy layers, smooth frosting, and gorgeous toppings that make every bite feel like a celebration. From sprinkle-topped cupcakes to a towering cherry-drip cake, this session was all about letting their artistry shine through professional dessert photography.

But Slice of Heaven is more than just sweets. They’re growing their menu to include savory favorites like garlic bread and hearty breakfast plates, plus they now offer alcohol to round out their menu and spice up date night! Highlighting these new items with professional food photography helps tell the full story of their brand — fun, welcoming, and always ready to celebrate life’s moments.

And we can’t forget the charcuterie boards. These massive boards are packed with cheeses, meats, fruit, and everything you’d want for a party. Photographing them was such a joy — the abundance, color, and texture make them a natural fit for bold, eye-catching charcuterie photography.

For this shoot, I styled each scene to reflect Slice of Heaven’s playful yet elegant brand. Clean backdrops allowed the food to take center stage, while pops of color kept the imagery fresh and inviting.
