A Day at the Beach with Alki Coffee Co. Custom Café Brand Photography in West Seattle

If you haven’t made your way to Alki Coffee Co., you're missing out on one of West Seattle’s most welcoming and scenic cafés. Located just steps from the water, this sunny spot is known for delicious drinks, cozy coastal vibes, and a menu that hits the sweet (and savory!) spot. I recently had the pleasure of working with their team to create a set of custom café brand photos designed to help enhance their online ordering system, while also giving them a versatile collection of lifestyle images for social media, email marketing, and website content.

Why Alki Coffee Co. Invested in Brand Photography

Like many growing food and beverage businesses, Alki Coffee Co. recognized the importance of professional food and drink photography—especially for an online ordering platform. When your customers are browsing your menu online, vibrant, accurate, and appetizing photos can make a huge difference in how many items end up in that cart! Here are a few samples of those online shots:

But rather than stopping at just product shots, they decided to go one step further and include lifestyle café photography as part of their shoot. This gave them a mix of clean, clear images for their website and warm, inviting visuals to use across their marketing.

We spent the afternoon capturing a variety of styled shots inside the café—full table spreads, cozy coffee moments, colorful toasts, and groupings of drinks—plus a few playful shots by the water that leaned into the local charm of their location. The result? A full, versatile gallery of content that reflects both the deliciousness of their offerings and the personality of their brand.

Why Strategic Café Photography Works

Every food and drink photography session I offer starts with a strategy call, where we plan exactly what you need: from shot list and styling, to backgrounds, props, and purpose. Alki Coffee Co. came away with everything from menu-ready product shots to inviting lifestyle images that feel true to their brand—and will keep their content fresh across all platforms.

Whether you're a neighborhood café, a coffee truck, or a full-service restaurant, professional photography helps you connect with your customers, showcase your food and drinks, and grow your brand online.
